AA 5056 | Wrought aluminum; chemistry is not tied to a product form or temper

Each value is checked in at least three authoritative issuer publications. Some issuers reproduce a shared standard; these are not independent experiments. Do not use as certified design allowables. View sources ↗

Exact AA 5056 wt.% specification limits match the United Aluminum technical manual and Beneke Wire 5056 sheet. These are three issuer publications of shared specification limits, not three independent assays or delivered-product measurements. United explicitly attributes its table to AA; Beneke says its sheet complies with AA and other specifications. This record does not assert ASTM conformance or use an ASTM standard as evidence. Single numbers are maxima, Mn/Mg/Cr are ranges, Al is remainder without a numeric minimum, and Ni/Ti dashes are unspecified, not zero. AA 5019 (former 5056A) and 5356 are distinct grades. Beneke wire mechanics and qualitative ratings are not generalized to AA 5056.
